David Alsina, bandoneon player, composer, arranger, and director of tango bands and chamber music groups; native of Buenos Aires, started performing at the age of eight, and composed over 100 original songs, and the score for three independent films.
David has been performing with the Miami City Ballet as bandoneon soloist accompanied by philharmonic orchestra for more than 10 years.
He has performed in Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, Italy, and the United States, where he currently resides.
David has contributed bandoneon solos to the recording of TV spots and videos, soundtrack of movies "Random Hearts" and "Estados", and more than 50 CDs, accompanying famous artists (Ricky Martin, Shakira, Julio Iglesias, Olga Tanon, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Daniela Romo, El Consorcio (Mocedades), Luis Enrique, Huey Dunbar, Enrique Chia, and many others.)
The music of his bandoneon has been acclaimed in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Center, (New York); Gusman Center, Dade County Auditorium, Jackie Gleason, Bailey Concert Hall, Philharmonic Center, (Florida); Orange County Center (California); Ohio University; University of Georgia; University of North Carolina; and many others.
